Coatl is a Lizardmen monster unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer II with The Silence & The Fury. The long, feathered wings of the Coatl spread high above the field of battle, casting shadow over the forces of Chaos and raining magical fury down on their ranks.

Adult Coatl can reach 20 feet in length (a "clan feast" as the Pygmies put it) but are more commonly slightly over ten feet (a "family feast" to use the Pygmy terminology). They resemble large snakes, with a head similar to that of a Dragon and large, feathered wings.

2024年1月31日 · Coatl works best with tictacto for insanely low upkeep and his faction because of tier 3 recruitment. Tictacto's faction can easily reduce its global recruitment time to 2 turns, which makes it fairly easy to recruit and replace.

2021年7月7日 · Every lizardmen unit fits the theme. From the skinks to the mightiest creatures of Lustria, they all fit the aesthetic of being Maya/Aztec/Inka Lizards with dinosaurs. They are after all the Lizardmen. The Coatl's design sticks out like a sore thumb in comparison and seems like it was made for a different faction entirely.

My Coatl hype is in the same place as my Ancient Salamander hype. Waiting for it to be overly nerfed and sacrificed on the Altar of Multiplayer. I mean, the ancient salamander is still boss in campaign. I just find it underwhelming for something that takes 3 turns to recruit.
