The Cobra (Turkish: Kobra) is a armoured tactical vehicle developed by Turkish firm Otokar. The vehicle has some subsystems from the Humvee . The Cobra is the first generation of the Cobra family of vehicles, a second generation named Otokar Cobra II is also produced.

The powerful turbo diesel V8 engine and high power to weight ratio give COBRA, power to navigate in the toughest terrain conditions. The Independent Suspension, the Central Tyre Inflation Systems along with the permanent four-wheel drive, automatic transmission ensure the highest level of mobility.

The Cobra by Otokar Otobus Karoseri Sanayi was conceived as a regular light armored vehicle with mine/ambush protection features and introduced in service in 1997 after a development started in 1990. The Cobra also integrates some mechanical components and sub-systems of the HMMWV ECV Variant.
