2008年12月8日 · Cobra said the Imola S, which is what I am interested in, is one of the best dual purpose seats they have, (street and track use). As well as being less expensive than the CF seats it has excellent crash specifications. Cobra has indicated that their generic slider works with the side mounts for the seat.

2010年11月9日 · The Cobra had huge appeal because besides replicating one of the most famous cars ever built, it used big HP/TQ engines that could really be made to scream. Not so much for the Miata. Might be a hard sell to have someone drop a lot of money and be left with a kit car putting out horsepower roughly in the low 100's.

In fact, when I last checked, The Spec Miata lap record was faster than the Factory Five Challenge cars. That said, the chances of getting a date because of your Cobra is several times greater than via your Miata.

2008年12月12日 · I found a guy up in Michigan who sold Cobra seats. I told him I needed sliding mounts and he went off to design sliding mounts for the Cobra seats in a Miata. The problem turned out that the Cobra Imola S seats have a large "wing" near the head of the seat. This "wing" will stick out of the car - can not close the door if the window is up.

2010年6月2日 · A Cobra "body" on a Miata is just plain sacriligious(sp?). I have no experience with any kit cars, but have seen a kit, I think, for turning a 240Z into a Daytona Cobra Coupe...too bad your g.f. doesn't like the closed car variant.

2021年7月18日 · The Covette is BY FAR the better car, but I'd bet the Cobra is a whole lot more fun, even just driven normally, to ice cream and back. Automobile Magazine did a comparison test between a continuation 289 Shelby built by the guys at Shelby American and one of our V8 Miatas. Most of it was driving around the beautiful mountain roads near Boulder.

2020年2月19日 · Factory Five is kind of a golden standard for performance out of cobra replicas, at least somewhat affordable ones. Superformance has nice fit and finish, but is pricier. I don't think you will find any cobra replicas with a top and side curtains ( none had roll up windows) sealed well enough that it will make having aircon make sense.

2009年7月27日 · Then I quickly came to the conclusion that I am still a poor student and dropping 8 to 10 large on a car is somewhat out the window. Since I already have a miata, why not make it into the hooligan car a cobra is. The miata is a completly stock 1.6 model that is in good mechanical shape and slightly rough asthetic shape.

2010年11月16日 · The early cars look Cobra-esque, so the shape is an appealing 60's sports racer look, the locost type guys have an alternative that looks much nicer. For those who love small and lightweight, your competitors seem to be only the 550 guys (I don't know if the 356 kits are still out there) and they seem to be on the $20K end of things.
