2011年5月23日 · When rear wheels need new rims and/or spokes, stuck cogs (or freewheels or cassettes) can prevent introducing new spokes. Gears sit near the drive side hub flange and you can't get spokes in or out when they're in place. With multi-speed hubs and coaster brakes, the solution is to disassemble the hub. Remove the axle and all guts.

2009年2月15日 · Anyone have any tricks for getting off a track cog that's stuck? I've already bent my chain whip, and then tried backing my bike up against a wall and stomping on the peddle. It's still stuck.

2020年10月5日 · Simple problem--I have a 22t fixed cog that I can't remove. I originally tightened it on with my chain whip, but when doing a hard hill sprint I felt it slip and tighten more. My best guess is that because it's such a large cog, sprinting hard on it put more torque against it and tightened it so ridiculously tight I can't make it budge.

2023年7月17日 · Remove wheel, take chainwhip and attempt to turn the cassette backwards (counter-clockwise) and see if you can free it up. If not, needs a stripdown and diagnose, the process of which will depend if it's a cassette and freehub or a freewheel design. Yup, freehub body not spinning freely.

2012年4月22日 · You need to spin the lock ring counter-clockwise. You need to hold the cog to prevent it from spinning, because that's the freewheeling direction.

2014年8月21日 · Put oil in but cog still stuck in extended position engaged with flywheel !!! Please help with any other advice or tips on how to free it.. ALSO if i took off the kickstarter lever, would it be ok to push start the bike in gear without damaging any cogs?

2023年9月9日 · I've watched multiple videos of people reassembling the Echelon, but I can't seem to get the COG seated in fully (pictures below). Apparently the COG should slide right back with minimal force, but this thing is not moving.
