I would like to know where I can find the rules for spelling. I mean, red+ish, you have to put two "d" (reddish). Orange+ish, you drop the "e" (orangish).

When using ‘-ish’ to describe colors, you are talking about something that when you look at it, it might not be exactly that color but it reminds you of that color. For example, I use this a lot when talking about people’s eye colors. You look at someone, and you say “Wow, your eye are brown but they are also a little bit greenish. It’s unique.”
