The M.A. program is designed for journalists who have three to 15 years of professional journalism experience. We are looking for intellectually curious students with demonstrable reporting experience and strong writing.

The Graduate School of Journalism reference code for ETS is 2120. On the TOEFL, we require a minimum score of 650 (paper­-based) or 114 (internet-­based); and for the IELTS we require a minimum score of 8.0.

Our classes cover the fundamentals of reporting and allow you to explore new ways of storytelling that will advance your ability to work in the evolving field of journalism. No student graduates from J-School master's programs without a foundation in investigative journalism.
