2024年11月3日 · Comet 67P/ Churyumov-Gerasimenko made history as the first comet to be orbited and landed upon by robotic spacecraft from Earth. The Rosetta spacecraft, carrying the Philae lander, rendezvoused with this comet in August 2014, and escorted it on its journey to the inner solar system and back out again.
ESA - Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko - European Space …
ESA's Rosetta mission chased down Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko for ten years. The comet is a regular visitor to the inner Solar System, orbiting the Sun once every 6.5 years between the orbits of Jupiter and Earth. Like all comets, Churyumov-Gerasimenko is …
Complex organosulfur molecules on comet 67P: Evidence from …
2023年6月7日 · The Rosetta mission to comet 67P demonstrated that H 2 S is the fifth most abundant molecule in the coma after H 2 O, CO, CO 2, and O 2 . A recently published analysis of ROSINA-DFMS (Double Focusing Mass Spectrometer) data during multiple dust events shows a very high abundance of NH 3 and H 2 S, believed to result from the decomposition of ...
Rosetta’s comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko sheds its dusty
2016年11月17日 · The Rosetta spacecraft has investigated comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko from large heliocentric distances to its perihelion passage and beyond. We trace the seasonal and diurnal evolution of the colors of the 67P nucleus, finding changes driven by sublimation and recondensation of water ice.
Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko - Space Reference
67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is a mid-sized comet whose orbit features a relatively short period, low inclination, and is controlled by Jupiter's gravitational effects. NASA JPL has classified 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko as a "Near Earth Asteroid" due to its orbit's proximity to Earth, but it is not considered potentially hazardous because computer ...
The Many Faces of Rosetta's Comet 67P
2017年3月21日 · Rosetta was the first spacecraft to witness at close proximity how a comet changes as it is subjected to the increasing intensity of the sun's radiation. Observations will help scientists learn more about the origin and evolution of our solar system and whether comets brought life-sustaining water and organic molecules to the Earth.

2021年10月26日 · Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is gearing up for its closest approach to Earth on November 11 and 12, 2021. On October 26, the waning gibbous moon and the comet are in virtually the same...
Measuring comet 67P/C-G – Rosetta – ESA's comet chaser
2014年10月3日 · This post provides a summary of some of the essential physical parameters of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, as measured by Rosetta ahead of and since its 6 August rendezvous. This is an on-going process and the numbers will be updated as newer data are obtained, analysed, and made available.
