2022年1月16日 · Made this one for a prototype.Seems to work good.With the heavier rod it doesn’t seem to need the second bar on bottom.I found the 3/8” hollow rod at a surplus store and slid a heavy wire in top and tacked it-not sure why just seemed like a good idea.I’m gonna use 3/8”rebar next time.Do you always want the trigger on bottom or is that more for when some of the trap is out of water?

2020年12月12日 · I have 330's from duke, victor, bridger and they've all caught beaver and an otter or two. Some may take a little tweaking to get the trigger the way you want it, but that's preference for many people.

2020年12月26日 · Mink, muskrats, chipmunks, flying squirrels, grey and fox squirrels, norway and roof rats. I've caught all but mink and fox squirrel in 110s dry ground plus one raccoon.

2018年2月2日 · running pole, body gripper on pole peanut butter smeared up the pole each side of body gripper they get so engrossed with licking it all up they follow it up the pole and snap the trap as they lick it all off the pole, dont use bird seed on it as they have to stop and think about chewing the seed, just a smear of pb up the pole, threw the trap

2020年8月23日 · I've caught them in a 220 conibear set but it seems to be a low percentage set (catching something like 10% of the cats that walk by it) compared to footholds or snares, as others have said. I've had many, many more cats walk by or even step on top of the box than I have stick their head in them.

First notch.On the ldl there is only one notch. The reason the dogs have 3 notches is that you can file the 3 notches differently so the trap will fire more hair trigger on one and fire hard on the other for,say if you were setting in a current in water and you wanted a hard firing set,you could use the harder firing notch,and if your dealing with a hugger animal like a mink etc,at a baited ...

2019年12月1日 · Using 3/4” pvc conduit and 3/8” smooth rod. Drill a 3/8” hole in one end and attach a conibear bracket as shown. Mount the conibear trap onto the bracket. Then slide the 3/8” rod thru the hole. The trap can be slid up or down to the desired height. Quick and easy.

This first set is the shallow pocket set. It has a 110 conibear at the entrance of the pocket and a piece of apple in the back of the pocket. The conibear has two small sticks through the jaws to stabilize the trap. Make sure the apple is exposed and can be seen by muskrats swimming by. A good place to catch muskrats is at their den entrances.
