
Email address/app icon : is "@" sign still relevant today?
The argument against using just an envelope icon to represent email is that it's a skeuomorph and could be confused with postal address. It only makes sense to use just an envelope icon in a context where it has to refer to email. So in the context of listing various contact information an envelope icon combined with an @ symbol would be best.

2019年7月16日 · First of all, if possible provide labels clear enough that additional info is not necessary. In some cases this is not possible, an in this cases such a info icon (i suppose they will open a tool tip) can be helpful. The overall layout will have an impact where to place the icon. Having the info icon close to the label gives the user context.

The problem that arises is that I am using icons back-ended by Tipsy to display tool-tip of the icon description, for example hovering over Dashboard icon will show Tip at the bottom with text: Dashboard or hovering over Contacts icons will show: Clients & Companies tool-tip.

2015年6月23日 · A lot of contact pages have a Google map on it with the map centered and a marker on the company HQ. I would consider this a good thing but I have several doubts regarding UX. What is considered a good size and position? (minimum) I would say a minimum width of 1/3 and next to or below a contact form. Static or dynamic map?

I assume the 'items per page' is used in your context for data tables. So here I am submitting my idea for icon. Disclaimer - icon is not tested for your context, you need to test it with the users.
Why are those Sign-in/sign-out icon a convention?
I've been recently implementing a custom icon-font & I decided to use those icons for Sign-in/sign-out: My only real reason being that choice is that it seems to be a convention in all major icon font library & icon font database.

The help icon should be used when: it links directly to or launches application/site help; Detailed information is necessary, requiring more than one sentance for clarification.
