Depends on your idea of fun. Some people think a Kia soul or a Scion toaster are pretty fun. Some people think a 90's Acura Integra is pretty fun. Some people think an old CJ jeep is pretty fun. Any of those can be readily found for under $10k. And probably a number of other cars too, but we need some ideas of what kind of fun you have in mind.

I think the Nissan 280Z was the last really cool looking cheap sports car. After that they started chasing more power and more refined cars, the prices went up, sales went down.
