Named in honor of ASU's 15th president, Lattie F. Coor Hall was officially dedicated and opened in 2004. The building provides space for classrooms, open computer labs, research, survey research, special purpose facilities and offices.

Lattie F. Coor is President-Emeritus, professor and Ernest W. McFarland Chair in Leadership and Public Policy in the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University, and is chairman and CEO of the Center for the Future of Arizona.

Lattie Finch Coor Jr. (born September 26, 1936) is an American academic specialising in public policy and the past president of two universities. He was the 15th President of Arizona State University (1990–2002) and the 21st President of the University of Vermont (1976–1989).

Dr. Lattie F. Coor Jr., a native Arizonan, achieved major milestones for ASU as a research institution and set the stage for what would later become the New American University.
