In the specific case of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation of shock (defibrillator) resistant ventricular fibrillation, a first dose of 300 mg (or 5 mg/kg) amiodarone diluted in 20 mL of 5% dextrose solution is administered via bolus IV injection.
