Advocating for the rights and wellbeing of older Queenslanders, and future generations, since 1957. Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland is a peak body and a for-purpose registered charity. We represent older people and facilitate their participation and voice in policy development, service delivery and community planning.

COTA QLD - The Homecare Workforce Support Program
In August 2021, the Australian Government announced funding for the ‘Home Care Workforce Support Program’ to provide $91 million over two years. Attract, train and support the retention of an additional 13,000 personal care workers (PCWs) nationally to the home care sector over 2 years by June 2024. (Department of Health and Aged Care, 2021).
