After speaking with Apple I spoke with Cox 2nd tier tech support and found out they are aware of the problem as they've received a lot of calls. They are working on a fix. The Apple app has given Cox problems before apparently more than other apps.

2024年3月21日 · OMG! Success talking to Yahoo via Cox - you need to generate a one time app password for Mail in your Yahoo Mail web account. Add account in Apple Mail on MacBook Pro using 'other mail acct', use the one time app password to get into Yahoo, you will get the imap & the smtp addresses for cox, change to yahoo and that should get you in.

2020年9月20日 · Had several tickets opened and closed with my knowledge or any follow up. I find this out after calling back to check status. My last interaction with Cox was a supervisor which stated that they would have to update the app. I noticed today that a new app update was available, downloaded update and app still does not work. (Now using 14.2)

2024年1月29日 · This email switch from Cox to Yahoo is a disaster where as neither Cox, Yahoo or Apple has zero helpful information why it does not work for Apples mail app. This is a Cox/Yahoo issue. They are the only ones who can straighten it out. The same problem exists with Outlook and other email apps. It's not the fault of Apple's mail app.

For example, the Netflix app is on Cox Contour and I have a subscription to watch that content. But Apple TV app is not. I was just wondering if there is some way to make that app available on Cox.
