The Lebanon Auction Yard originally opened for business in the late 1940’s and has been in this area for over half a century. It was purchased by Coy and Helen Cowart in 1987. At that time, Coy had recently retired from a job in construction and he was looking for something to keep himself busy. He and Helen were interested in owning a business.

Buford is not your average steer. Weighing in at 2,175 pounds, he brought 83 cents per pound at Cowart’s Lebanon Auction Yard on July 21.
