Craftsman Router Table and Router Combo any good?
2010年11月25日 · The Craftsman have been a good router, as far as I have seen. The combo That You have should be a good buy. I have the sears router, and have had good luck. One of the first routers I bought in the late 60''s or earily 70's is still ready to route. I have an old router table that is about 18"x 18" and I haven't had good luck with that. It is old.

2010年1月3日 · One directly under the router and one on the very bottom. There are holes pre drilled so that the end user can enclose it if desired as well. All in all it was good for me because I needed a router with a 1/2" chuck as well as a spare router to free hand and use with dove tail jigs and such. But I wouldn't go out and buy the table.

I asked myself the same question when I narrowed it my portable router table choice down to the Bench Dog Contractor and the Bosch RA1171. 2007年8月4日 · The Craftsman combo comes with the 1/4" and the 1/2" collet nuts,,,because the router is new take the nut all the way off the router and place in the bit you want to use, push the bit in the but just so the base of the bit comes out of the botton of the collet nut then screw it back on the router then crank it down.besure to push in the lock pin.

2009年6月16日 · 90 degrees is normal for the adjustment locking lever. There may be crud between the router motor and base. Cleaning and wiping dry should take care of this. Some of the models need adjustment, a few have ball bearings which love to take flight. I would take the router to Sears and ask for assistance with it.

2007年6月16日 · It's best to use the plunge base for most routing jobs...or the standard base if you are using it in router table, BUT the standard base will work also, just move the motor to the point you want the bit to stick out and then just use the fine adjusment ring to get it to the sweet spot or the 2nd clean up pass. Craftsman Combo router
2013年1月15日 · Craftsman 27683 2hp. Rob, I purchased one of the Craftsman 27683 kits a few months ago and have been well pleased with it. I have 4 other routers but did not have a working plunge router. If you sign up for the free Craftsman Club you can save even more on this router. I will be buying another set when they are on sale.

2007年11月27日 · The plunge router is capable of much more than a fixed base router, and I feel you are better off with a plunge than with a table. Sears offers an excellent value 2-1/4 HP combo kit for about $119. Besides more power to work with hardwoods these kits include an extra collet which allows you to use 1/2" shank router bits.
