2020年9月1日 · I bought mine as sparkling gouramis, but they make a loud croaking sound. They are so small that my guess is they are Trichopsis pumila. I have referred to them as Croaking Gouramis also, but if they are what I think they are, then this is incorrect as they are probably not Trichopsis vittata.

2025年1月25日 · Males were sparring and croaking every single morning in a 125 liter planted tank. They are small fish but they always find a way to get into such “fights”. Literally I woke up to croaking sound many times, mine almost always croaked and got into territorial fights during mornings with the natural light hitting the tank.

I have 6 of them coming in and 9 diamond neons and at full-grown size of 2.5 to 3 inches, I'm just afraid they'll get too big for the tank. This is in a community tank which houses honey gouramis, cherry barbs, neon tetras, otocinculus, Cory's, kuhli loaches and one pair of fire red apistogramma agassizi.

2023年6月8日 · Males are territorial. They are hard to sex, so I ended up having 2 males and 1 female. Even in a 33g planted tank, males swim around each other croaking around 😄 They are hard to sex, but if you can, I def would recommend 1m:2 or3f. I would not crowd a small space tho, you may face issues I think.

2024年9月24日 · Dwarf gourami's are good. but only 1 male. They get feisty with each other. possibly 1 or more females as well. They are less aggressive than his paradise gourami, but still very colorful. A bit smaller, and usually won't bother other fish. Other options include croaking or sparkling gourami. Possibly chocolate and samurai gourami.

2021年1月28日 · It seems like a cool concept buy I'm skeptical, I mostly have betta, croaking/licorice/chocolate gourami fry, and occasionally dwarf cichlids. It's a little pricey, but I'm wondering if it would be worth having a bottle or two on hand incase something ever went wrong with my microworms of brine shrimp hatchery.
