Perched amid peaceful, green countryside along a rocky overhang, the medieval town of Curemonte has certainly earned the Most Beautiful Village of France label in many ways, with its old stone houses, Romanesque churches and majestic castles.

The medieval village of Curemonte is built lengthwise on a rocky spur in the south of Corrèze. The density of the military buildings, the three castles and the noble houses bear witness to the importance of the town between the 14th and 17th centuries.
