2024年12月8日 · Very skeptical of computer scams. I received a warning on the tool bar at the extreme right bottom of the screen, next to the time and date, telling me I need to do a cumulative update. This sounds almost reasonable since I turned off auto updates b/c every time I get updates it fouls up something.

And/or cutting the internet and/or shutting down your computer would stop all scam actions as well. A good ad blocker should prevent pop ups/fake warnings/alerts/ads etc. Tracking blockers help too. I use and recommend the free extensions uBlock Origin and Ghostery .
