2021年8月31日 · Brecksville, OH – Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) have an urgent message about safety around railroad tracks and near-misses, anticipating thousands of visitors wishing to view the historic steam engine during CVSR’s Steam in the Valley event set to begin September 3.

2024年8月25日 · In June 1999, construction was completed on a new shop facility by the NPS for the CVSR to use to maintain their locomotives. The railroad adopted a strategic plan which recommended that it expand its operational capabilities. To do so, additional locomotives would need to be purchased.

It operates excursion trains, and in a partnership with the NPS, the railroad helps visitors access various parts of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The CVSR also co-operates with Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway (WLE) to operate on trackage south to Canton.

The real turning point in the development of CVSR came in 1987 when the National Park Service (NPS) assumed responsibility for the 26 miles of track within Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
