Our geostationary satellites continuously view the entire Atlantic and eastern/central Pacific hurricane basins to provide real-time tracking and monitoring of tropical cyclones as well as the environmental conditions that cause them to form.

The Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS), launched on 15 December 2016, is a NASA Earth System Science Pathfinder Mission that is intended to collect the first frequent space‐based measurements of surface wind speeds in the inner core of tropical cyclones.

2013年8月5日 · Launched in December 2016, Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) is a constellation of eight mapping microsatellites operated collaboratively by the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA) and the University of Michigan (UM). It aims to determine how tropical cyclones form and evolve.

This page supplies satellite images and loops from GOES-19, GOES-18, and Himawari-9 geostationary satellites for the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans, including visible, infrared (IR) and water vapor (WV) bands. Floaters provide imagery centered on tropical cyclones and disturbances. Satellite data is obtained courtesy of NOAA and Amazon.

Animated multi-spectral satellite imagery (msi) depicts tropical cyclone 29S with a more compact core of central convection and a low-level circulation center (llcc) that is quickly consolidating over the past 4 hours or so.
