Barkeepers friend for cymbals | [DFO] Drum Forum
2020年6月12日 · Some cymbals sound better patina'd, oxidized, whatever you want to call it, but I've saved some dull sounding cymbals with a good cleaning. As for the logos, BF is slightly abrasive, so best to avoid using much pressure and let the cleaner do its work without scrubbing.
Cymbal Rivets - [DFO] Drum Forum
2011年5月16日 · I'm looking at some new cymbals, I've got my eyes set on a sexy sabian AA 20" raw ride and some zildjan amir hi hats. I was contemplating putting some rivets on the hi hat, maybe on the back edge and on the bottom cymbal and 3 on the ride cymbal. LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINIONS AND SHARE EXPERIENCE...
What's the best cymbal cleaner? - [DFO] Drum Forum
2005年8月28日 · For older cymbals with no logos,or if you dont care about saving the logo,"Bar Keepers Friend" is great, Similar to "Slobeat". Paiste cymbal cleaner works well on clear coated modern cymbals. Groove Juice cut in half works well also.
I need mallets for cymbals. | [DFO] Drum Forum
2021年6月15日 · It surprised me, but they are smoother than my yarn wrapped rattan mallets. Really, they are. Even one handed swells. I think the reason is that they get the cymbal moving with very little impact, vs having to hit a little harder with the yarn. But that may have to do with my cymbal choice as well, I'm playing cymbals about as thin as they get.
Your go-to place for cymbal shipping boxes? - [DFO] Drum Forum
2017年8月2日 · They give you a dirty look but sometimes will do it (obviously for smaller cymbals/hats). Otherwise, Home Depot has super cheap boxes for like $3.00 that are big (up to 24") and get yourself a utility knife and make your own.
Cymbal storage display stands? - [DFO] Drum Forum
2005年8月28日 · I've got a ton of cymbals, but nothing to store them on. Just have them in cases for now. Can anyone recommend something that is very sturdy and that is free standing. I've been scouring ebay, Amazon and craigslist, but have found nothing.
Hi Hat Cymbal Alignment | [DFO] Drum Forum
2021年12月6日 · That includes cymbals an inch apart in diameter, sizzles, and so forth. I do see lots of folks with high hats that are mounted too tight and (to my ears) too muffled with felt pads. I use a black rubber bottom seat that I think is made by Gibraltar (sorry that I can't recall the product name) that does not require any felt pads on the seat and ...

The drum set from "Whiplash" - [DFO] Drum Forum
2015年4月6日 · Haven't seen it yet. But in looking at some of the photos of the kit they used. What a joke. Long bass drum with what appears to be a 10" rack tom, and modern cymbals with logos (I think). Give me a break! It shouldn't be that hard with a little effort to come up with authentic gear. Which doesn't include new Agops either.
