The 4.7 cm KPÚV vz. 38 (Czech: kanón proti útočné vozbě vzor 38), also known as the 4.7 cm KPÚV vz. 36 (Czech: kanón proti útočné vozbě vzor 36), is an anti-tank gun produced by the Škoda Works that saw service in World War II. Originally designed for the Czechoslovak Army, some were also sold to Yugoslavia.

The 4 cm kanón vz. 36 (i.e., 4 cm Cannon Model 36) was an anti-tank gun produced by the Škoda Works in the 1930s. Although initially two types were developed—37 and 47mm—only the larger stayed. It should have been used in two variants Q and L1 while the L1 was the cannon with the vz. 37 machine gun. Only few Q variants were made.

The weapon is only designed to be installed in a fixed position, and as far as I know cound not be used in a mobile capacity. I understand the weapon was emplaced in the Sudatenland prior to the Germans taking the area over.

The caption of this one, located in the beach defenses at Gela, stated that it came from Greek stocks (though I presume they were ex-Yugoslav). Curiously enough, the Italian Army on Sicily also used war-booty French 47mm guns.
