2008年5月17日 · My main question is are the crankshafts the same. Does the Z7 use the larger rod journals of the D16/D15B(jdm). I did look around and didnt find any info about this. End result is I want to use LS rods in the engine. The one I found is stamped same as this one....

2009年10月3日 · z6 is actually just regular VTEC, and IF it does have three VTEC stages (2 VTEC solenoids), then its a z7. But its one or the other. Find out if the block says z6 or if the head has 2 solenoids. It MAY be a z7 head on a z6 block. Hard to say.

The Honda VTEC D15B is a breakthrough engine for Honda since it displayed DOHC numbers from a SOHC configuration through the aid of VTEC. Hence, the VTEC D15B generates 130 PS and redlines at 7,200, replacing the able DOHC ZC design despite having less displacement and one camshaft less.

2009年10月4日 · D15b is higher in HP rating amongst the 3 u mentioned. D15z7 is better in compression compared wid D15b but 128 HP. D16z6 has same compression as of D15b but HP is 125 and also its single Vtec. My vote goes wid D15b. And regarding parts D series parts r easily available and r in plenty.
