C8AE- H vs. D2TEAA HEADS - Ford Forums
2006年10月9日 · Mr W, the C8-H and D2-AA heads are the same casting. The D2 heads are 70's casting and have induction hardened seats for unleaded gas. Other than that both castings for the most part are identical. Just watch the exhaust bolt patterns as some are drilled for 8,14 and 16 bolt holes depending on the application and exhaust manifolds.
FE Heads?? D2TEAA - 332-428 Ford FE Engine Forum
The D2TE-AA (as with most FE heads since the start of 1966) have smaller intake runners (increases fuel/air velocity to improve emissions), lowered exhaust runners (apparently a unibody change - can be a problem with tube header alignment), smaller combustion chambers (more valve shrouding apparently improves fuel atomization), thermactor ...
D2TEAA heads? - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
2002年9月7日 · Some earlier FE heads had cast in larger valve pockets, the D2's don't. And yes, you have to grind out the pockets to realize the benefits of larger valves, but this also comes at a cost on D2 heads, doing so will eliminate the induction hardening the seats had from the factory, but then again doing so in the course of a normal valve job will ...

2012年11月9日 · FE & FT Big Block V8 (332, 352, 360, 390, 406, 410, 427, 428) - D2TE-AA heads - Is there any kind of work that can be done to these heads to help them flow better and obviously make me more power? Just out of curiosity since I've been thinking of …
Heads D2TEAA vs. C1AE vs. EDELBROCK - Ford-Trucks.com
2005年5月2日 · Wondering what the best choice is and if the EDELBROCK heads are worth the money. Well, it depends on what you have now. If you have a set of D2TE-AA's or C1AE's, then it'd be kind of silly not to use 'em. The C1AE's probably flow more than the D2TE-AA's, while the Edelbrocks probably flow a hair more than the C1AE's.
D2TEAA Heads..Help! - 332-428 Ford FE Engine Forum
I know your D2 heads aren't CJ's but the problem is your headers were built for early heads which have higher exhaust ports and the D2's have lower exhaust ports (it's the same size port but lower), just enough to cause a leak. For now I wouldn't touch drilling the header flanges until you figure out what you have and where you have to go.
D2TEaa heads.. good for a performance build? - 332-428 Ford FE …
2004年4月15日 · Any FE head is good for a mild to moderate performance build. In comparison to other FE heads the D2 heads can be worked to give good performance. The exhaust side needs a little work in comparison to the early heads. The intakes with bowl work and a good valve job stack up pretty good.
D2 heads | 460 Ford Forum
2008年11月27日 · Ported BBF iron head specialist & Aluminum heads from all sources. The original post has it reversed, they are on par with a D3VE head in a RACE engine where RACE gasoline with high octane is used but, if it is a RACE ONLY engine then it should also have a better head to begin with.
D2TE-AA Heads - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
2005年3月17日 · If they indeed say D2TE-AA on them, they are '72 and up (hardened exhaust seats) and are probably FE heads. The FT heads, I think at least some of them, have an exhaust crossover that comes from the exhaust manifold - so, the exhaust side of the head would have a hole in the center between #2 and #3 exhaust ports that crosses over to the intake ...
Ford FE guys - what's the "best" head for a strong street motor
2013年1月4日 · I believe the "GT 390" or CJ head is the best iron factory head for that combo, but by the time you buy a pair and have them gone through, you can do a set of Edelbrocks. I would call Bryce @ Dj's Porting Service/Air Wolf Cyl.Heads (714)943-3404. He can do the Edelbrocks with a good valve job and or a little port work very reasonably.
