2020年4月27日 · The D500 is only one generation older. Furthermore, it is to the DX line what the D5 is to the FX line: top pro dog. Frankly, unless one needs the full-frame sensor, the Live View PDAF, or the enhanced video features of the D780, the D500 is the superior camera.

2022年8月28日 · No, the d850 is better than the d780 (except in live view where the d780 wins). The d500 and d850 are pretty close and probably not a deciding factor. If you’re doing low light though, I’d favor the fx cameras. Any of those cameras can handle kids, though the d780 is the most challenging. Fewer af points and smaller area in the VF for tracking.

2023年3月7日 · If you are considering the D500 strongly, I'd suggest just getting it. I bought the D7500 in no small part due to the cost savings, and me not being sure I needed what the D500 offered. Every time I have trouble with focus, or miss focus, etc, I wonder if the D500 would have gotten the shot. Maybe it also wouldn't have, but I'm always wondering.

I was looking at the D780 for a long time until the Z8 finally came out. The D780 was released at an odd time, but is a great body. Obviously the D850 is the gold standard prosumer DSLR and would also last you a long time. IMO, unless you want to switch to mirrorless in the near future, either the 780 or 850 would be a great choice.

2020年6月12日 · I initially started looking at the D780, but saw a lot of comparison commentary that the D500 is a better buy for your money, especially if you sprinkle in some action photography. I don't do a whole lot of video, so the expanded video/Live View capabilities of the D780 aren't hugely important to me.

I’ve gone through multiple different options D850 being full frame I don’t want to switch from my DX lenses and I don’t want any vignetting by using them, so I think that’s out plus it’s more $ than the other 2 options.
