2016年1月3日 · DAB Digital Radio launched in the UK in the 1990’s and many digital radio stations in the UK currently use the original version of the DAB standard. DAB+ (sometimes called DAB plus) is a newer version of DAB and has been used in some European countries for some time. A radio which can only receive DAB will not be able to receive DAB+ stations.

2025年3月3日 · Four radio stations that broadcast nationally on DAB digital radio are to switch to DAB+, making the stations unavailable on incompatible digital radios. The owner of the four stations, Bauer Media Audio UK, announced the move today. The stations will switch to DAB+ on 31st March 2025.

2023年9月27日 · Digital radio stations Absolute 80s, Absolute Radio 90s, Mellow Magic, Planet Rock and Scala Radio will switch from DAB to DAB+ this Autumn. The music stations currently broadcast using the original DAB format. When they switch to DAB+ they will only be available on DAB digital radios which support the newer DAB+ format.

The existing FM/AM aerials installed in most cars are not suitable for DAB reception. This means a new DAB aerial or splitter for an existing aerial is required. Some windscreen aerials are ‘active’, which means they are powered by the radio or DAB adapter. Active aerials with a built-in amplifier may perform better than passive equivalents.

In this case the maps could be out-of-date and the device may not support Bluetooth.
