2023年8月8日 · Chrysler itself provided a hot version in the form of the Sunbeam Ti with a twin-carb 1.6-litre OHV engine, and this model was popular with privateer outfits. But a proper campaign in the World Rally Championship would need something more potent, and so Chrysler went to Lotus to produce a truly hot Sunbeam.

Fast, fun to steer, great handling, sharp looks, one of the best rally-derived road cars that you can actually afford. The Talbot (nee Chrysler) Sunbeam-Lotus was one of the most exciting hot hatchbacks to emerge from the 1970s, and we have motor sport to thank for that.

2019年2月27日 · To build the road-going version of the car a Talbot Sunbeam 1.6 GLS shell was fitted with a 2.2 litre version of the Lotus type 911 16-valve four-cylinder engine, a five-speed ZF gearbox, upgraded suspension, and a larger anti-sway bar.
