2018年8月16日 · Worthless at 100 yards in any lighting. The low on the pointer is great to 150, high to over 200+. An IR capable Surefire is MUCH more powerful than the DBAL I2. Is the A3 civilian laser illuminator better? I have had experience with the A3 full power and it has much better high power illuminator.

A dual-power IR aiming laser (.2mW low & .7mW high). A dual-power IR illuminator (2mW low & 4mW high). An adjustable IR illuminator. The ATPIAL-C has none of these features.

2020年10月15日 · Well, I recently got a DBAL A3. I could have purchased a MAWL, but that would have meant that other things that I wanted to purchase in the interim would have been delayed. The thing I liked about the A3 is that its visible laser co-aligns with its IR laser making daylight zeroing and zero confirmation a relatively simple affair.

2015年2月16日 · There is a new DBAL-i2 that is coming out that replaces the visible laser with an IR illuminator. The DBAL-a3 has the slaved laser plus the IR illuminator, with the slaved laser making zeroing really simple when changing between different rifles. Just align the vis laser with your dayscope zero and you will be very close to on target.

2009年1月7日 · The A3 is a useable option and so is the civi peq15. But... if you really want max power illuminator and laser buy a Perst 4 and a Modlite with the IR850 head (some feel like this it to much illuminator) .

2023年10月4日 · It definitely makes the A3 a more usable device. It isn’t full power good but it’s good enough. Lighting conditions were full clouds, half moon, and neighboring development with some lights on.

2019年1月4日 · I have a DBAL-A3 mounted on a rifle. While the visible and and IR pointers are great and plenty powerful, the class IIIa illumination has always had me wanting more. Does anyone know the methodology that LDI/Steiner uses to lower the IR illuminator output on the A3’s compared to the stronger class IIIb devices?
