Direct Benefit Transfer : With the aim of reforming Government delivery system by re-engineering the existing process in welfare schemes for simpler and faster flow of information/funds and to ensure accurate targeting of the beneficiaries, de-duplication and reduction of fraud Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) was started on 1st January, 2013.

A DBT MIS system has been created for compiling information on DBT roll out status in the districts. The 8 concerned Ministries/Departments are required to collect, verify and upload this data onto the DBT MIS System. Maintenance of this information on the DBT MIS will facilitate availability of data on real time basis.

St. Xavier’s College was awarded the STAR COLLEGE SCHEME by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India on September 23, 2021. St. Xavier’s College is the first college in North Goa and only the second college in Goa to receive this grant of 123 lakhs.
