2004年7月24日 · dbx 117/118/118 series I've owned all 3 of these fine units, and they are magic. dbx-117 is a basic unit, with big knob calibrated from infinity compression (with built-in -50dB gain limit) thru 1:1, up to 1:2 expand. The small knob is level match. The switch is for response time only (medium/slow).

2005年9月20日 · i find the 160x even better, a solid sound, a bit typical dbx but its fat, there's no control of attack and such on the 160 but it will sound punchier than the 266 (at least thats how i experienced it) my favorite setup: kick inside: dbx 160x kick beater: dbx 163x snare top: dbx 160x snare bottom: dbx 163x

2004年12月22日 · i use a dbx 163x too i go direct from the line-out of the dbx to the line-in input of my emu-0404 interface. i plug a guitar or mic into the hi-Z input on the front. there might be some kind of preamp built in. i'm sure the proper way would be mic->preamp-> line-in on the back.
