Dacryocystography (DCG) allows visualization of anatomic details of the internal lumen of the entire lacrimal drainage system using a low-viscosity radiopaque contrast agent. A cannula must be inserted into the canaliculus to deliver the contrast agent. The patient's head is then imaged using Caldwell's view.
