The one-cylinder version became the 14hp Porsche-Diesel Junior, the two-cylinder the 25hp Standard, the three-cylinder the 38hp Super and the four-cylinder the 50hp Master.

Four different models of the Porsche 218 were produced: Base model: six-speed gearbox, oil-hydraulic clutch, chrome decoration trim. H for hydraulic clutch. Simplified model: five-speed gearbox, no hydraulic clutch, no trim. V for vereinfacht (simplified). Narrow gauge model.

Powered by a 822cc diesel single-cylinder engine, it also features a 4-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive, a portal axle, a power take-off, and a sprung seat.
