2022年5月10日 · High-frequency ventilators (HFVs) facilitate gas exchange instead of mimicking normal breathing. They must be proven safe and effective to be marketed in the USA. They can prevent and reduce lung injury, but it takes education and experience to fully appreciate their benefits and risks.

High-frequency flow interruption (HFFI), also known as high-frequency percussive ventilation, is usually delivered by hybrid ventilators, also capable of delivering conventional mechanical ventilation. These devices generate short bursts of gas delivered directly into the ventilatory circuit without the narrow injector cannula used in HFJV.

In the present study, we develop a protocol to generate hPSC-CFs via SHFPs using sequential inhibition of GSK3β to activate canonical Wnt signaling followed by stimulation with bFGF.
