The main issue is that the FQDN is long by default. The interest lies in having an alternative FQDN in some way for the DFS Namespace if possible. Have any one looked in to this matter and have any facts or experience before we really start looking at it.

2015年2月4日 · I have 2 DFS server Windows 2008 R2. I followed How to configure DFS to use fully qualified domain names in referrals. All my target are in FQDN. If I add a new target, it still use the NetBIOS name.
