These micro-organisms (including bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi) and other agents can cause disease in humans or animals.

IATA's Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) helps you classify, mark, pack, label and document dangerous shipments and hazardous materials in compliance with air transport regulations

It contains general information on the factors that may need to be considered when dealing with any dangerous goods incident and provides specific emergency response drill codes for each item listed in the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Doc 9284).

To ship dangerous goods, consignors are required to prepare a Shipper's Declaration (DGD) in order to prove that the cargo has been packed, labeled and declared according with the IATA DGR
