2024年12月24日 · D&H Alco PA-1 #16 in Hagerstown, Maryland in February of 1972 (PA-1 18 is just behind her). This engine would be re-engined in the mid-1970s and sold to Mexico; unfortunately it was severely damaged there but the plan is to cosmetically restore her in her original Santa Fe "warbonnet" colors.

2019年5月28日 · English: DH16 is a Sentinel-type shunter built by Rolls Royce at Shrewsbury for the Manchester Ship Canal (MSC) railway fleet in 1964, fitted with a diesel-hydraulic transmission but with a chain final drive. It was sold on to Bowater’s paper mill in Ellesmere Port in 1970. In 1980 it entered preservation, initially on the East Lancashire Railway.

The class consists of six heavy shunt U10B type locomotives built by General Electric United States at their Erie, Pennsylvania plant [2] in 1978.

The DH class locomotives used a direct drive system, that means a single drive shaft went from the engine to a gearbox (located under the cab floor) down to a universal joint and then to each of the four axles. These locomotives actually had two fuel tanks, one on either side of the loco.
