2015年4月24日 · I bought my first kayak last week and plan to load it on top my new-to-me 2010 Outback. I have a pair of the Thule kayak racks for the OB crossbars but , since I'm small and not very strong, I'm worried about how to load and unload the kayak myself. The rear loading Yakima showboat loader bar seems the most practical but is expensive.

2016年5月3日 · This is a kayak loader that I made from a suction mounted hand rail from the disability section of a DIY store, and PVC drainage pipe and standard joints. The PVC is glued with the stuff that plumbers use and the cradle is then bolted to the handrail. The slight curve in the rear windscreen means being careful to properly attach the suction cups.

2021年2月26日 · Putting my 75 lb 2-seater up top is a bit of a chore, but I use leverage to my advantage by throwing a towl or blanket on the side if the roof rack, propping the kayak up against it, then lifting from the bottom and pivoting up and right to get it into my cradles, works pretty good.

2019年6月4日 · I happen to use some DIY cradles that were custom fit to our kayaks but there are some manufactured versions available. We have two 45-48# 10 foot plastic kayaks and two 40# ABS 12.5 ft Hurricanes. We paddle a lot. Photo is of …

2021年12月31日 · I’ve attached a picture of this beast of a tandem sit-on-top kayak loaded on my ‘22 OB. I know the kayak needed to come forward about 6 inches and have front and back anchors, but we were literally going 1 1/2 miles so speeds were around 30 mph. It worked fine. We used Thule Dockglides that I had kept from my VW GTI.
Anybody using Yakima ShowBoat 66 Kayak/ Canoe loader on...
2020年1月1日 · I'm thinking of ways that I can get my canoe /kayaks loaded without killing my back. This one seems to have what I want but I'm wondering about how they fit an outback. The alternative is something ( like a Rino T-loader) that will get hitch mounted but those can be a hassle to set up when needed.

2008年4月16日 · Cool! Good looking OBS also. It looks pretty good up there. If it were me, I'd maybe consider ditching the front wind jammer thing and put a small rail across the front (wrap around about 1.5" to the sides) and then you could just put an aftermarket fairing on it.

Kayak Racks - 2011 Outback - Subaru Outback Forums
2011年1月6日 · Yakima Kayak Stacker and E361SAJ000 horizontal mounting clamps I checked the Yakima site, and it pretty much indicated that the kayak stacker would not work with these clips, but I had to try it out (quote: The Kayak Stacker will not fit your 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon). They are right. The bolts that come with the Stacker are smooth on top.
2026 Wilderness? - Subaru Outback Forums
2025年2月15日 · There is always some angst expressed over any generation change, that’s going to be a given. But when Subaru went from Gen 3 to Gen 4 - arguably the single generation change that most left behind the concept of a station wagon, at least for those of us who were highly opinionated about Gen 3’s good looks - buyers flocked in droves to Subaru dealers and bought the new Gen 4 models at 3X ...
