The DMO® Custom Dorsiflex sock is manufactured with an open or closed back and is designed to provide active dorsiflexion during walking and running. It is particularly effective in improving walking patterns for conditions where reduced strength occurs such as: Dropfoot; Stroke or Multiple Sclerosis.

Dynamic Movement Orthoses (DMOs) are a new way to look at bracing. Traditional braces typically either hold a certain body segment in place or prevent an undesired movement or posture. DMOs allow guided movement enabling the patient, and more importantly their motor pathways, to work themselves to make the desired motion occur.

Dynamic Movement Orthoses® use a specially designed compression fabric which is soft, flexible and strong. The design helps realign the body and influence both muscle tone and the proprioceptive system. Our orthoses work using strategically placed powernet reinforcement panelling which positions the body into improved postural alignment.

The DMO® Dorsiflex Sock is designed to assist weak dorsiflexors of the patient and improve foot contact with the floor when both walking and running (active dorsiflexion).

The DMO® Dorsiflex Sock is designed to lift the foot up during walking and running (active dorsiflexion). This sock will improve walking patterns and provide additional uplift for patients with reduced strength.

Our orthoses use strategically placed panelling which apply translation forces to position the body into improved postural alignment. This new biomechanical state combined with enhanced proprioception, stimulates and adjusts the neuro-sensory system, training muscles to work with improved tone, strength and performance.
