There are two critical components of the DPSST Mission that work together to promote excellence in Oregon's public safety professions -- delivering quality training and upholding professional standards. DPSST training helps public safety providers protect their communities.

Welcome to DPSST's Regional Training Program. Regional/Advanced Training is responsible for delivering mandated, specialized and maintenance training to Oregon's criminal justice professionals on a regional basis.

The Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) is an agency of the government of the U.S. state of Oregon responsible for establishing and enforcing minimum standards and providing training for public safety officers and staff, including law enforcement and fire fighting personnel within the state.

The DPSST works with public and private safety agencies around the state to provide basic, leadership and specialized training at the 237-acre Oregon Public Safety Academy in Salem and regionally throughout the state.
