2022年6月29日 · I've learned that DST stands for Disk Self Test. I also learned that my diagnostics were outdated. Now that I can boot, I have updated Windows and UEFI Diagnotics. When I run them I still see "Warning" for Short DST if I elect to run it at boot time.

2023年4月29日 · Either your bios is too old and does not know how to perform a self-test on modern SSDs, or you have a faulty cable if you're using SATA. I’ll update my bios and see how that goes. My bios is the most up to date one. It’s a NVME SSD using a PCIE 3.0 Adapter. I wonder if it’s cause of the adapter that’s causing the issue. It's definitely possible.

Initiates the required test based on the user input. The <device> parameter is mandatory and may be either the NVMe character device (ex: /dev/nvme0), or a namespace block device (ex: /dev/nvme0n1). On success, the corresponding test is initiated. Indicate the namespace in which the device self-test has to be carried out.

2018年3月9日 · I found that there is an Intel SDD Toolkit for the NVMe drive, booted Windows and did the comprehensive test. Passed. Also found that HP has a Windows based test suite, installed that, and the disk test also Passed.
