2021年2月28日 · But even the better of the screens looks worse than the DSi screens, which look uniform, and have better vibrancy, contrast, brightness and white point. The only thing better about the XL screens is the size and the IPS viewing angles.

In the picture below I have a “New” 3DS with an IPS screen on the left and one with a TN screen on the right. The IPS system (left) has noticeably better colors and contrast. However, it’s hard to see the difference between the two with my camera and lighting. But, there’s an easy way to tell if you have an IPS or TN screen. The Tilt Test

2018年1月19日 · The DS Lite uses a 3.0" TN TFT LCD screen, while the DSi XL uses a 4.2" IPS TFT LCD screen. The former has comparatively duller colors and worse viewing angles, while the latter has more vibrant colors and much better viewing angles.

2025年2月26日 · Dsi XL = IPS - great viewing angles and color reproduction, albeit a bit slow, also take care buying used ones, especially from Japan, they tend to have a yellowing effect on the screen, the reason is, according to internet people, high humidity.

2021年2月28日 · Unfortunately I haven't come across any ds lite ips screens yet but I figure that's because the dsi xl exists. The only mods I did to my lite that I could find were the power led and usb c charging. I prefer to play DS games on a DS instead of the clone systems and I too have been looking for a screen upgrade.

2024年10月17日 · The XL has dual IPS screens and at native DS resolution, is definitely my favorite way to play original DS games. Smaller screens may look a tad bit sharper but I'd take the crispy colors...
