In 1967, Radio Shack introduced the DX-150 general coverage (535 kHz to 30 MHz) receiver. Over the next few years, this product underwent several improvements (the DX-150A and DX-150B). In 1975 the DX-160 was introduced with the most noticeable change being the addition of a LW band (150-400 kHZ).

Comments: Although this radio presented a good value for its era, its lack of selectivity and frequency accuracy make it weak choice today. Ranges: .535-1.6, 1.55-4.5, 4.5-13 and 13-30 MHz. Features: ¼" Head. Jack, S-Meter, Mute Line, ANL, Dial Lamp, Standby, Bandspread, Antenna Trimmer, AVC.

In this age of digital LCD everything, its nice to operate an analog radio with a genuine slide rule style of frequency readout and a real analog S meter. So if you want a nice, retro, and usable receiver then the DX-150A is a good choice.

2005年3月19日 · This a very early single conversion shortwave receiver, made by GRE and sold through Radio Shack. The DX-150 had three variants, and was eventually replaced by the DX-160.
