2009年12月31日 · We just bought an 02 ho 6sp. with dana 80 in back. From 3rd gear on it howls/growls/whines/is noisey up until u start cruising in 6th. If you put it in 4x4 it gets quitet. We have excess play on the dana 80 on the pinion shaft. We was told the crush sleeve was how they was getting the preload on the bearings.

2021年3月22日 · 2nd Gen Dana 70 SRW are wider then a 1st gen SRW. A 2nd Gen SRW might be able to be used as a 1st Gen DRW. A 2nd Gen 3500 is a Dana 80 there are some DRW and SRW's. Don't know off hand the WMS on the 2nd Gens SRW's or the DRW's but the info is somewhere on the 2nd Gen forum. When I get a chance I can search for it.

2006年1月6日 · The 91-01(ish) 3500HD used a Dana 80, and the spring perches are right around 40-41" just like the 73-87 1-tons. So a swap may have been done. But these are 10-lug & disc only. They came in 2 different widths... and its the housing itself. The wider one is similar to a DRW pickup. Here's the narrow one:
