Danfoss Editron electric machines are based on synchronous reluctance assisted permanent magnet (SRPM) or permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) technology. They can work as generators or as motors and are designed for harsh operating environments.

The eDrivetrain system allows for optimized packaging and increased payload capacity due to weight savings. The reduced size and mass of this drivetrain are due to the Danfoss Editron motor and control technology coupled with the torque-multiplying function of the transmission.
