2023年1月26日 · Dashida. It’s like a bullion powder. They have several kinds beef, chicken or seafood flavor. It comes in a red bag at the Asian Market. A little sprinkle goes a long way to add flavor. If you like the anchovies and kelp flavor I’d try the seafood flavor dashida. But only use a small amount to lightly flavor your broth.

Maybe some Korean cooks would give you the side eye but I know plenty of Korean homes that use Hondashi in particular to get a quick soup base going. Koreans also frequently use other types of Dashida (comes in beef, chicken, seafood, etc.) as their soup base or even just for general seasoning. It’s essentially their version of powdered stock.
