David Hardy : Classical Realist Painter . As often happened with the old guild apprenticeships, David Hardy started his art studies when he was eleven years old. His grandmother, Marion Virginia Randall Randlett, became his first teacher. She had studied with William Merritt Chase during the early days of the Art Students League of New York.

Dave Hardy is an artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He received a BA from Brown University, an MFA from Yale School of Art and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2004. Hardy’s work has been exhibited widely in the U.S. and internationally.
