Author Patricia Anne McKillip was born in Salem, Oregon on Leap Day 1948. She grew up in England, Germany, and Oregon. She is married to David Lunde, a poet. Patricia began writing at the age of fourteen, and has been writing ever since, save for a minor detour when she thought she was going to become a concert pianist.
