Ball State is home to the David Owsley Museum of Art located in Muncie, Indiana.

It is one of four Indiana art museums with a notable, well-rounded collection, and the only such facility in east central Indiana. Our collection areas include ancient, medieval, Renaissance, 17th century, 18th century, 19th century, modern, Asian, and arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.

There is no admission fee to visit the David Owsley Museum of Art, and it is open to the public year-round. The museum is closed to the public on major holidays and additional university holidays.

2024年3月11日 · Through the years, Ball family members, including David T. Owsley, have donated or loaned more than 6,000 works of art to the museum. In recognition of Mr. Owsley’s generosity, he was awarded Ball State’s President’s Medal of Distinction in 1989, and an honorary doctorate of humanities in 2005.

The David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) is located on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, situated within Delaware County. The museum was renamed the David Owsley Museum of Art on Oct. 6, 2011, in honor of his generous gifts.
