Daystate is a British manufacturer of air rifles based in Eccleshall, Staffordshire. The enterprise was founded in 1978 by Don Lowndes, Jim Phillips, Ken Gibbon and Mike Seddon with the aim of making tranquillizer guns for pest control purposes. The first product was the Air Ranger. [1]

Daystate was the very first company to produce modern pre-charged pneumatic airguns with designs dating back to the early 1970's. Nowadays they combine those traditional gun-making techniques with the latest computer-controlled technology.
